Scope, evidence and limits for this independent reference.

Updated 8 Nov 2026

Identify the exact brand, model code, size and lens variant before comparing measurements. Our curated set has two exact Ray-Ban variants. Dimensions come from dated manufacturer India records, with US manufacturer product pages and Amazon.com listings checked separately for commercial identity. This is a source comparison, not a hands-on ranking.

Dimensions and uncertainty

Record lens width, bridge and temple separately. Overall frame width is only shown if a usable manufacturer field is present. We never invent it by summing lens and bridge numbers. A source conflict remains a conflict: the New Wayfarer size-52 page has both 51 and 52 mm lens-width fields, so that measurement is unresolved.

The optional reference-pair control only subtracts your entries from supported measurements. It does not rank fit, diagnose a face or calculate an overall width. Your inputs remain in the page, are not saved and are not sent anywhere.

Exact manufacturer records

Commercial identity and retailer text

We match the selected product title, UPC, model/size code and lens variant, not a generic search or a family name alone. Amazon listings can combine family-level copy: the New Wayfarer listing has a generic nonpolarized bullet that conflicts with its selected polarized title, UPC 805289083061, exact 901/58 model code and polarization table. The manufacturer record identifies green polarized lenses; the contradiction is shown beside that variant. Recheck the selected size and lens before ordering.

Current prices, ratings, stock, shipping and returns are deliberately not repeated. The linked US listings were readable when checked; variant selection and merchant terms can change. Neither an affiliate link nor a product photograph certifies a delivered item.

Editorial changes and corrections

The earlier site’s useful topics and all fourteen content URLs are retained. Unsupported testing, prices, ratings, protection guarantees, medical or legal certainty, shipping promises and retailer-policy assertions have been removed or qualified. Earlier model names remain explicitly labelled research mentions where an exact identity is unavailable.

Style descriptions are optional opinions. They are not clinical assessments, celebrity endorsements, trend measurements or rules about which face deserves which frame. If a field conflicts with its cited record, the record should be rechecked and the change dated; unknowns should not be silently replaced.

No firsthand product-test programme claimed

These pages compare sources. They do not claim measurements from a physical test lab, verified product ownership, a clinician review, or an authentication service. Model and source data can change; consult the current manufacturer record and a qualified professional where appropriate.

Illustrated product examples

Fourteen featured identities have corresponding product-specific Amazon US listings. The two-row measurement comparator remains separate from twelve additional source-linked photo examples. Each card identifies model, source variant and lens, with a dated match note. Eight records have manufacturer/listing UPC agreement; six rely on code or selected model/color/size configuration evidence, with missing or conflicting identifiers labelled. Neither a photograph nor a listing certifies physical size, authenticity, fit or optical performance.

Some Amazon pages combine a family, selected item and generic details with different ASINs or conflicting captions. We link only the actual product page read and preserve those distinctions in our records. Care-kit bundles are labelled as bundles. Confirm the exact code, selected size and lens at the merchant; no current availability or price promise is made.

Sources & limits

General buying information, not medical advice, product certification or a claim of clinical review. Consult an eye-care professional for individual protection needs or symptoms.
